Louisville Boating
Boating? Around Louisville?Kentucky has more miles of waterways than any state other than Alaska. And Alaska's just a tad bit larger.Crowning the Commonwealth is the Ohio River. Events on the river include the Great Steamboat Race, the Madison Regatta, and Thunder Over Louisville, which has one of the world's largest fireworks display. Six Mile, Twelve Mile, and Eighteen Mile Islands lie mid-river and provide excellent spots for an afternoon cookout or a weekend camping trip. Dining establishments like Captain's Quarters offer fine food and docking slips. With the power of a Rinker, there's no reason you can't take a trip up to Cincinnati. For in-your-face decadence, there's nothing like a boat trip to the Queen City, followed by dinner at the world-renowned Maisonette. Other readily accessible recreation areas include Taylosrsville Lake, Rough River Dam, and Lake Cumberland. All of these are excellent spots for fishing and water sports. |
However you choose to spend your time on the water, a new or used boat from Arnold's Boats & Motors will give you the freedom to do it.
